Temple’s Shoe Museum a day trip away

June 5, 2009

At Temple’s School of Podiatric Medicine, scattered in several display cases across hallways and offices, is the Shoe Museum, which boasts more than 900 pairs of shoes – from ancient Egyptian burial sandals, to six-inch high Victorian booties, to the high-end high-heels of former first ladies.  This week, Allentown, Pa.’s WFMZ-TV featured the museum as part of it’s “One Tank Trip” series.  The museum’s curator, Barbara Williams, was also interviewed.
